Spring Has Sprung!

At our last Saturday art class before Easter, we reflected on Spring and all that comes with it.  Everyone chose a number of images that represent Spring (Easter eggs, lambs, chicks, daffodils, bunnies etc).

We also imagined what the Easter bunny's burrow would look like- lots of carrots and of course storage space for all those Easter eggs!

In this picture, the Easter bunny's burrow is on Easter Island, he even has a teleporter in his sitting room, handy for getting around to deliver all those Easter eggs!

St. Patrick the ninja!

In preparation for St. Patrick's Day we painted leprechauns dancing under a rainbow with a crock of gold.  We also reimagined how St. Patrick banished the snakes from Ireland, turning him into a ninja!

Saturday Art Class is back!

At our first Saturday Art Class since Christmas we worked on Lego self-portraits and space pastel drawings.  For our Lego pastels we worked on our observational skills, taking time to careful draw in the details on our jumpers, trousers and runners, we also included some of our favourite things (ice-creams were popular!).
